Incredible rare find – in almost 20 years buying and selling mens vintage, these are the first 50’s / 60’s 2XL shirts we have found! We have supersized since the 50s – the average size worn in the 70s was a medium. So 18.5″ collar size in the 50s had to be rare.
We have 4 of these shirts in different colors, this one is a nice shade of blue – just check out the 50’s section in shirts to see them all.
WPL numbers date between 1941 and 1959. After 1959, new WPL numbers were not issued. The FTC switched to RN numbers in 59. These shirts all have the WPL number 651 as shown in the pics.
