Were you a part of the 1970s – early 1980s nightlife scene? Were you a regular at Studio 54? A dancer or frequent attendee at the Palladium, CBGB, Danceteria, the Limelight, Paradise Garage…. there’s just so many more here… and, the famous clubs we just referenced above were all based in New York, but we know that there were so MANY dance clubs during that era spread across the USA during this time. So, if you partied in ANY disco-era dance club that existed from the mid-70s and into the early 80s we’d love to hear from YOU based on your personal experiences!
Since DressThatMan.com specializes in men’s disco era vintage clothing, we’d love to share stories directly from the guys that were actually there and lived it! Of course, since we are a men’s vintage shop catering to men – we are definitely leaning toward stories written by men, but… we will also consider publishing stories written by women about the men of that era, too.
Uh-oh, man. Maybe your kids don’t know how damn wild you actually were back then and, you’d rather they didn’t now – or, perhaps your current high profile position covers the fact that you were a crazy disco dance club dude back in the day… we seriously get that, and we will publish your confession either with a pseudonym or anonymously. We’ve got your back.
Maybe you’re one of those bold in-your-face types of guys and you don’t really give a shit who knows about your past exploits. Yeah, buddy. You’re a dirty dog and we love ya. Go ahead and dig up those old polaroids, scan them and send ‘em along with your written story. We’re down.
Perhaps you’re a very unique and rare type of man who just happened to write a book regarding a specific dance club or clubs during the disco dancing era, in that case; hey there, Mister author. You’re golden. We’d be happy to review your publication right here if you wanna send us a copy. It’s all about the hustle there, and we’re here to pimp ya.
Stories and articles received from your submissions that make our jaws drop and/or make us laugh will always have a higher probability of being shared here!
Personal photos from the era are a definite plus.
