2018 Burning Man Festival will feature a GIANT ORB that we cannot look at without thinking: giant DISCO BALL which, of course, means PARTY ON!
According to the creators: The Giant Reflective Art Piece Will Offer a New Perspective of the Playa.
Ain’t no party quite like the eclectic Burning Man Festival. According to Wikipedia, the roots of this festival stretch back to 1986 on Baker Beach in San Francisco. The debut was a relatively small function that was organized by Larry Harvey and Jerry James who built the first “Man”. Since 1986 it’s been an annual event that runs from the last Sunday in August to the first Monday in September.
The original venue has grown into large and beloved annual event of self-expression, cooperation, self-reliance, creativity, civic responsibility, gifting and more. A temporary city is established for it, “Black Rock City” is erected in the Black Rock Desert of northwest approximately 100 miles north-northeast of Reno, Nevada. The event takes its name from the symbolic ritual burning of “the Man” (a large wooden effigy) that traditionally occurs on Saturday evening of the festival. One of the coolest aspects of the Burning Man Festival is that the event takes the responsibility of leaving no trace after it’s over.
2018 Attendance is expected to reach 70,000. Go, man… GO!
